The Space Between The Shadows Out Now; Summer Tour Dates Extended To Fall

Scott Stapp’s first album in six years has debuted in the Top Ten and is a bonafide comeback for the Grammy winning songwriter, power baritone, and voice of Creed. The Space Between The Shadows has re-introduced Stapp as an evolved artist at the top of his game at #3 on the Billboard Current Rock Albums chart; #3 on the Billboard Current Hard Music Albums chart; #4 on the Billboard Record Label Independent Current Albums chart; #10 on the Billboard Current Physical Albums chart; and #10 on the Billboard Top Current Albums chart in the US, while landing at #3 on the UK’s official Rock and Metal Chart following its July 19 th release on Napalm Records.

An advance-track campaign ahead of the album and kick-off of The Space Between The Shadows SummerTour (now extended into the fall) put the music first and let fans in early. The roll-out amped up fans with new music and has resulted in shows where the sing-alongs for the new anthems rival the response to Scott’s arsenal of megahits. Advance tracks included the first single, “Purpose For Pain,” about finding meaning in life’s struggles; “Name,” about ending destructive cycles; uplifting rocker, “Face Of The

Sun”; and “Gone Too Soon,” which honors musical peers and other victims of unexpected tragedy. “I am overwhelmed with gratitude by this response,” says Scott. “I can’t thank my fans enough for staying on this journey with me, their support, and passion for this new album. It’s everything an artist could hope for and I am so thankful.”

The Space Between The Shadows reflects the technicolor clarity of five years of sobriety, self-awareness,and a commitment to connect with others as he roars, rages, and copes with personal and universal injustice.

Stapp is a Grammy winning songwriter, frontman for Creed (over 50 million albums sold worldwide), and solo artist who released the platinum-certified The Great Divide (2005) and Proof of Life (2013) which included his first solo Billboard #1, “Slow Suicide.” His first album in six years, THE SPACE BETWEEN THE SHADOWS, was released July 19, 2019 powered by Stapp’s introspective lyrics and pitch-perfect delivery that consistently brings anthems of gratitude and optimism to music’s darker side.

With a new outlook – five years sober and counting – Stapp’s album documents a journey to find meaning and redemption. His evolution, both personally and professionally, reflects a sense of purpose in sharing the silver lining of his survival. He has become an inspiration to others struggling with the often over-lapping illnesses of addiction and depression and he “pays it forward” through his With Arms Wide Open Foundation, which helps military vets and their families with drug addiction, PTSD-triggered mental health issues and suicide prevention. In 2017, the Florida Association of Broadcasters awarded Scott with the Florida Service Award. In 2018 he was inducted into the Florida Music Hall of Fame.
