Nita Strauss and her band absolutely killed it at the Stafford Palace Theater in Stafford Springs CT. Strauss brought her melodic, scale shredding heavy metal guitar playing and did not disappoint. She is currently touring to support her 2018 release "Controlled Chaos". Nita came out full force with the song Pandemonium and kept that energy through out the whole set. She was clearly having tons of fun as were the rest of her band. The night was mostly filled with songs from that album with the exception of a few cover songs which included Iron Maiden's "Aces High", Queen's "The Show Must Go On" and Alice Cooper's I'm Eighteen which she was joined onstage by local guitarist Desiree Bassett.
Nita hails from Los Angeles California and was in the all female Iron Maiden tribute band The Iron Maidens and she also played in the band Femme Fatale and most notably is the riff keeper for the legendary Alice Cooper. Like her nickname "HURRICANE" she is an absolute force to be reckoned with and if she comes to your area you definitely need to go see her.
